With Ms. Badu being hands down one of my Top 5 Favorite Artist, you could imagine how excited i am about the release of her new album. Shes one of the original soul artist who has a feel to her songs like no other.

As stated in the video below, Ms. Badu simply made an album based on pure feelings and emotion. Working not keeping in mind what people would expect from her or even the expectations she herself. The sound and feel of the album also incorporates artwork. I cant wait to see which artistsshe decides to work with. I'm highly anticipation this album. The album drops on her birthday February 26, 2010.

Surely a must see "Where the wild things are" are in theaters on Friday! I must admit I'm extremely excited. Almost everyone read or at least heard of The Wild Things. It just brings me back to a great area of my childhood.

Where the Wild Things are tells a story of a misbehaved young boy who feels misunderstood at home and has other emotional problems. He creates and imaginary world in efforts to escape his reality. He finds the Wild Things, a group of creatures searching for someone to lead there people. Max gets crowned king and promises happiness for all. Easier said then done.

During the "Empire State of Mind" performance by Jay Z and Alicia Keys; BK rapper Lil Mama finds her way on the stage and tries to pose with Jay Z and Alicia. Jay Z completely ignored her and after the song was done smoothly waved her off. I understand that Lil Mama is from New York but her actions were extremely distasteful. Let not start on her outfit at that... If your gonna crash the stage at least look nice. She was completely out of place.




Lil Mama was a trending topic on twitter for 2days! the topic "#LilMaMaIs" brought twitter some pretty funny pictures such as the ones below.




Lil Mama did speak on the matter and apologized.

A Real Lady

Im far from a fan of Beyonce, even though i do respect her as a artist and performer. But i give credit where its do and i must admit Beyonce is a lady. Late on in the show after the Kanye and Taylor stunt, Beyonce won an award and called Taylor up on to the stage when she accepted. It was a extremely good look. Im sure Taylor didnt feel as bad.

Personally i think she just did it to be nice. Even though she know she texted Kanye right after the stunt laughing about the matter. I would of done the same. lol

Mr. West

I'm sure you've already heard about if you didn't witness Kanye West's stunt during the 2009 Mtv VMA's. Just encase you didnt; Kanye walked on stage in the middle of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to tell everyone that Beyonce who was a nominee, "had one of the best videos of all time!" .

Im not exactly sure how i feel the situation. I concur with his opinion and Beyonce in fact should have won the award. But it was extremely unprofessional. Granted Kanye has a hate for Mtv and feels there a bais company. So I see why he'd disrespect the way he did. But it could have been done another way.

Just in case you didn't know, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York =). Its something about Brooklyn that separates its resident from the rest of the world. We take great pride in just simply being born here. Our tough streets coexist with generous amounts of love that shape and form us. Brooklyn is a melting pot of many cultures. This results in a unique bred of people who are not only exposed to the culture of ones family but also the many cultures of the world. I feel this makes us a tad bit more open minded and more adaptable to change. Adaptation and survival do go hand in had after all.


Here I have Fabolous's new single " If the Money Goes" Featuring Jay Z. Two of my favorite Brooklyn born artist on one track. Fabolous' newly released album "Loso's Way" was of course the talk of the town especially the week of the release. It even became a trendy topic on twitter. Yes Brooklyn goes hard! Check out the video and leave comments. Its currently on repeat on my Itunes and I'd love to hear what everyone else has to say about it.

I was on Twitter the other day (@StefSeyzSo) and a friend of mine sent me a song title and artist. Angus and Julia stone _ Just a Boy. I proceeded to go on youtube and watched the music video for said song. I instantly fell in love and started to look up more of the pairs music.

The brother sister duo are originally from Sydney, Australia and have actually been out as a duo since 2006. Prior to that they were both solo artist preforming at mostly open mike nights and used each other as a backing partner. In 2006 they played at a few Australia festivals then later went on tour in the UK to promote there EP Chocolates & Cigarettes which sole 35,000. " A book like this" The first full length album by the duo was released in September 2007 in Australia and internationally on 31 March 2008.

They are a Indie music duo so if your not into indie music you more then likely wont enjoy it. BUT if you are i strongly advise to watch the youtube video posted below!

Real Music

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm big on old school music. I'm not just speaking R&B n Hip hop. I'm speaking of all genres of music, especially old reggae.

When I hear great artist such as Sanchez and Beres Hammond it brings me back to a time when music was music. Spreading words of love, praise, heartbreak, and unity. We might even hear a story. Today's music is filled with pride filled artist. People with thing to prove. Flaunting there money, jewelry, and women. Where has music gone? It pains me to hear the difference in the messages music send to us.

It humbles me and reminds me how simple and pleasurable life really is. Life is simple. People are complicated. We need to stop focusing on negativity even though its hard. Appreciate life's simple pleasure. The sounds of rain against a window, the sound of a breeze flowing through tree branches, etc. Positive energy is all around us. We just choose to not acknowledge it. On that note next time your outdoors just take a minute to appreciate your surroundings. Stay still and feel the positivity around you. You'll feel it. Then set your priorities straight and most of life's stress causers will disappear.

Black Summers Nights

Maxwell has returned. The man behind classic like "Fortunate" and "This Woman's Worth" has returned to remind people what R&B truly is. Black Summers Night the first album to we've seen from neo-soul singer in eight years is the first of his trilogy. With singles like "Pretty Wings" and "Bad Habits" its nearly impossible to not be taken back to the 90's; when R&B was at its best! I am anxiously awaiting the following two albums. I cant wait to see what he has in store. I'd rate this 4 out of 5 stars.

Yesterday my dog Capone got hit by a car n died. It was something like a eye opener i guess.

Rihanna & Drake?

Ok ok, so i know its been a while since i last put up a new post. I was in the hospital and had other issues going on but nowthat everythings better =) im back!! hehe!

So i got my issue of Star Mag. today and according to them Rihanna and Drake might have a little something goin on! How exciting!! As said in my previous post she believes Chris is responsible for her leaked pics online and is furious. She's actually thinking up multiple ways of getting back at him that include relasing flics of her own, spreading rumors about how much of a "novie" he was between the sheets til she taught him everything he knows(lol), & even a dis record with female rapper Trina. Seems as though someones a bit bitter!

May 18th RiRi and friends hit up Luck Strike Lanes & Lounge and she ends up leaving wit the actor turn rapper Drake! Im a fan of both RiRi & Drake and I cant wait to see where this all leads up to!!. I wonder how Chris feels about this. Owell im happy to see Riri move on. Even though i feel she's taking her revenge thingy just a bit to far. Ignoring Chris and Seeing Drake would have been the smoothest and most effective at hurting him.
